    3. Many thanks to Georgia, Jan & Sandie for their help. I will continue to look for more information on James & his wife Phebe, 2nd wife Hannah. I wonder what happened to children George & Adeline. Is there someone who would do a lookup of birth for R Bruce b c1881, or marriage of Thomas & Esther Snyder in Claverack c1880. I am trying to find how this Herrick family may 'connect' to Smith Herrick of Saugerties/Woodstock. I surmise, from the census records, Phebe Herrick passed away, James remarried, moved to Woodstock. Thomas met Esther Snyder in Claverack, they both lived there in 1880, her siblings worked in the cotton mill, as did Thomas, they then moved to Woodstock.
