Does anyone have this family? Catharine married James RAPELYE or RAPELYEA 1818 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co. NY. I believe that they maybe the parents of Mary Elizabeth RAPELYEA , born 1823, who married James P. DICKINSON in Poughkeepsie NY. Any help is appreciated, this is the first time I have researched in Green County. Mary is listed on her death certificate as being born in Catskill, Greene, NY. Carol L. Heap, FL

There is a number of spelling of Rapelye. My connection is with the Greene County Rappleyea family name. I did have a contact with a James Rapalje (Dutch selling of the name I think). His number the last I knew was 802-862-9134 - 51 Lopes Ave, Burlington, VT 05401. Perhaps that direction of search would be helpful. I'm afraid I'm not much help with the name as it's spelled.
