Sorry I can't solve your mystery, but my GGG-grandmother was Paulina MERRIMAN, born around 1795 somewhere in New York. Died February 29, 1872 in the home of her son (my GG-grandfather) Francis "Frank" Maynard of Big Hollow (now Maplecrest), Windham, Greene Co., NY. Paulina married Charles Maynard around 1815. Was married to Samuel Mallory of Greene Co. by the 1855 Census. In 1850 Census, Windham, Greene County, New York Mortality Schedule: Wes MERRIMAN, age 65, married, born in New York, died in January of Palsy after two-week illness. I will check out the Broome Co.
