Greetings, I haven't made any headway at all for this family's years in Windham, but I keep hoping :) ROBERTSON,per the 1860 census: George, age 45, cabinet maker, b. Nova Scotia Sarah, 35, wife, b. NY Anna M., 16, b. NY Mary A., 14, b. NY George W., 12, b. NY (this is the line I'm tracing) Adelaide, 9, b. NY Charles R., 6, b. NY Emma L., 4, b. NY Jessie E., 1, b. NY In the 1850 census, the family was in Brooklyn, as was George in 1840. By 1870, they have moved to Brick Township, Ocean Co., NJ, and George has died at some point, 1860-70. Most likely, Anna M. (b. ca. 1844) has married, either in NY or NJ. I believe they were Presbyterians. The 1860 census indicates they owned real estate valued at $1200, but I have no idea where. If the census reflects any sequence of addresses, the Robertsons are listed between an Irish blacksmith's family (surname seems to start with a K) and a cooper named Daniel Jones. These Robertsons are not to be confused with the longer established family of Col. George Robertson. Mine don't seem to show up in any of the Rootsweb databases for Greene Co. Any suggestions, leads, etc., will be most gratefully accepted. Thanks for starting the roll call!
