Ralph, Possibly the same Strong family you are researching in Durham township, is the Strong's that lived in Cornwallville (Town of Durham). Strong Road, named from an early Strong family, is just outside of the town and a few early (one definitely late1700-early 1800's) homes are still to be found along the road. The earliest on the left as you enter the road from County Route 20. Anson Strong came to the township of Durham about 1796 and nephew of Selah Strong, one of the settlers of Meeting House Hill, near the town of Durham. He was a soldier in the War of 1812, Justice of the Peace, Town Clerk and school teacher. He was married to Sally Butler and they had 6 children.
