Sylvia, My Maternal Grandparents: Cora Nancy Rice M. Clarence Ray Traver in 1909--- Her parents: Ira Chapman Rice born 1858 in NY & Viola Jane Freeman born 1861 Saratoga, NY--his father George S. Rice, b. 1822 NY, wife Lucina Baker Rice b. 1823, NY state--His father John Rice b. unknown date in Connecticut and his wife Phebie Squires born in NY. I have a good documentation thru George S. Rice & Lucina, but that is the end of the paper trail, if you have anything on John Rice of Conn. or Phebie Squires of NY I would be happy to hear from you. Thank you...You have a great list.
