    3. After three plus years of obtaining and analyzing deeds from Greene County, New York I finally put the results together in a booklet titled "The Barker, Dederick, Ecklor, Olmsted, Salisbury, and Taylor Grandchildren Inherit the Patroon's Estate: The James Barker Patent at Cairo and Durham in Greene County, New York." In the process I learned that James and Elizabeth Barker had 35 grandchildren, of which 29 were living at the time of Barker's death in November 1820. Besides the surnames of the grandchildren, the spouses of the grandchildren brought these names into the family: Agard, Calkins, Cole, Cole, DeWitt, Finkle, Hallenbeck, Hubbell, Huyck, Knickerbocker, Kortz, Kortz, Ossencup, Person, Rowe, Stevens, Telfair G, Van Steenbergh, Vought, White, Woodruff, and Wooster. The booklet is 32 double-sided pages, with indices of the family members. A chapter is devoted to each family plus the story of the Barker arrival and purchase of land before the Revolution. There are four appendices including a transcription of the land deed that names all of the grandchildren of James and Elizabeth (Wooer) Barker who inherited the land. I checked at the Post Office. It will cost about $1.50 to mail the booklet. I am asking $10 for the booklet. With the postage it totals $11.50. Proceeds will be used to help in the restoration of the family cemetery as set forth in Appendix D. If you are interested in the booklet contact me, Gene Eiklor at geneil@geneseo.net. or at my home address Gene Eiklor, 417 Oakwood Place, Geneseo, IL 61254-1911. The booklet which shows the descendants of the children of James and Elizabeth for three generations: their children were Thomas I. Barker, Sarah, Mary, John, Nancy, Elizabeth and Jane. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.344 / Virus Database: 267.11.3/107 - Release Date: 9/20/2005
