Somehow, I got dropped from the list, (happened on another as well). But I am starting on a trip back there in the AM. I just thought it was pretty slow! Now I understand I missed some discussion on Rices. Just my luck! Ephraim, (born as Royce but called Rice in NY.), CT. abt. 1771, came to Greene Co. NY. by 1790. Wife Sarah Johnson, abt same age, sister to Elizabeth Johnson who married John Ashley of Catskill. Kids, Ira James Rice, 1808, Joel H. Rice, 1814 and possibly a Sarah, abt. 1812. There were three unknowns, two girls and a boy, all born earlier, but after 1800. Moved on west, Chenango, Broome Co. NY. by 1820 and Tioga, PA. 1830, Carrollton, Cattaraugus Co. NY. by 1840.
