    1. DOBSON
    2. I haven't asked in 2 years so here goes again...Seeking information on the family of William Dobson born about 1770, died 4/3/1841, and is buried Mt Hope Cemetery, Athens, along with several other Dobsons. He had been in Greene County as early as 1800. Believe one son is Hiram who was married to Ellen Dickinson who moved on to Oswego County by 1850, another son, possibly James who was married to Fannie Holbrook who moved to Westchester County and died in 1850. My line is William Wilbur Dobson who was married to Elizabeth Dickinson and moved to Oswego County about 1845. I am interested in who William, Sr.’s wife was (possibly a Wilbur) and any of the other children. I have asked several times in the past and have had no response. Seems I see the same names over and over again on this list but never any Dobsons. Does this name mean anything to anybody on this list? Thank you! LuAnn Tanner Dobson P.S.
