    3. Jim, Hi again! We do keep bumping into one another don't we? Of course the Shufelt -- Van Wie marriage caught my eye and provided me with a bit more background on Helen Celie Van Wie. I didn't have the exact wedding date or place prior to this. This is part of what I currently have in my draft: ---------------------------- Sellick Edgar SHUFELT, the son of Peter Shufelt and Sarah Jane Wood, was born August 4, 1842. He married in 1870, Helen Celia Van Wie, born June 8, 1845, and maintained a clothing business in Albany. Sellick died May 11, 1896, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Coxsackie, New York. The 1920 Federal Census of Albany shows Helen, age 74, living with her daughter and son-in-law, Elmer and Mae Passenger. Helen died May 2, 1933, and she also was buried in Riverside Cemetery. They had at least three children, only one of whom survived in 1900. 1) Edgar Baxter SHUFELT: born November 25, 1872. 2) Van Wie SHUFELT: born October 15, 1874. 3) Celia Mae SHUFELT: born March 31, 1886. ---------------------------- I have details on their children and grandchildren if you find it of interest. Just give me a shout.
