Hi Rainer, Thomas does show up in the 1855 census in Jewett. He is a farmer, aged 42, b. in Greene Co, always lived in Jewett. Wife is Jane A., aged 49, b. Greene Co, 7 years in Jewett, child Mary E, aged 6. That's it.
