Hello! What a response this roll call has gotten! I'm swamped with emails to sift through...so here's another! Hello Everyone! I'm looking for the following surnames, many from Greene County and vicinity: RICE VAN DERZEE TOLLEY PARSONS SUTHERLAND/SOUTHERLAND BRONK DENSMORE CHAPMAN MEAD PALMER My mother was born and raised in Greene County, in New Baltimore. Several of my ancestors, including my maternal grandparents, are buried in the Riverside and Chestnut Lawn Cemeteries. I have only managed to trace these surname lines back to about the early/mid 1800's. I'm also researching the following surnames not necessarily related to Greene Co. NY: HUBBARD, AUERBACH, TOLER, CORNELL, TEMPLETON, PERRY, PENNINGTON, HONE, HAYES, ECHOLS, MCCOMB, GUY, RUNKLE, AREHART, NEEDHAM, ROUDABUSH, HUNTER, and CARTER. I'd be happy to share what I have gathered with anyone who thinks we may have a connection somewhere! Thanks, Kim Echols
Kim, You might want to work your way, one at a time, in more detail, through your list as I suspect there are some that would spark some interest. As a general aside to everyone participating in the roll call - the lists of surnames are interesting, but actually putting what you have of a lineage up here is more interesting. We enjoy group projects and if you spark some interest in something you'll get to see how other people work.
