Hi Peggy, Those are definitely the right people. I have found Hosfords (see below), but have not been able to be certain about the lineage. The message below is a post I sent to the Hosford List some time ago. ***************************************************** I am also looking at Pitt Andrews Hosford as the possible parent of my gggrandmother Selina Hosford Matthews. I checked out the Hosford Genealogy and Pat Morrow, the Windham Town Historian, shared her theory with me, > which fit nicely with what I found in the Genealogy; but, the lack of > information on early census data makes the task more difficult. Pitt was the son of Reuben Hosford who came to Greene Co. NY around 1789 with his father Gideon Hosford and brother Joel Hosford. Mignon ************************************************************ I have checked in Columbia County for John's parents, but can't be sure due to the lack of names on the census at that time. I continue to search..... Thanks for the response. Please let me know if anything else comes to mind. Gratefully, Mignon "There are many intelligent species in the universe. Hello, I have an Olive Hosford 1824-1906 b. Greene County and died in Bath, Steuben Co, NY. She married Gilbert Townsend 1814-1895 b. Greene County and d. in Bath. Both are buried in the Unionville Cemetery on the Bath Cameron Road in Bath. I know of 2 children Henry L. b. 1848 and Seymour b. 1862. Olive may be a member of your Hosford family. Gilbert was a son of Luther Townsend and Mary Ferris (of Ashland, Greene Co, NY). I have the kids if you ever need. Annette Campbell ----- Original Message ----- From: M.
