Shiley - boy do I have a contact for you - who probably has THE Layman genealogy at this point. I helped her out on a research project in Greene and Schoharie counties - made the connection and she has been building the tree since then. Have you talked with Judy Morgan from Virginia? Here's her email address: m1357us@yahoo.com I also have an extensive Layman genealogy - not quite as detailed as Judy's as I haven't been corresponding with all her cousins, but pretty good, nonetheless. Who did William marry? Do you know of any siblings? I have quite a few William's in the database - trying to connect the dots. In terms of typing - what's your snail mail address? Somehow, Judy found me! She gave me info back to Clements Lehmann, his descendants and some spouses. Then she found another shirttail cousin, Winnie, who also sent me a lot of info. There is so much (Judy's info was 546 pages printed out!!!) that I haven't begun to add it all to my database. And then yet another cousin found me. I host the LAYMAN mailing list on Rootsweb, and each of them had been a member at one time or another. William married Emma "Vina" Jennison Mitchell. Winnie said he also married Frances Jennison, and she believes they were sisters. I need to go into Olympia and get their death certificates because of a couple things: 1. I had William's middle initial as T or J, but his headstone has L. 2. I had Emma middle name as Frances. But Winnie believes Frances was her sister. William and Emma are buried about 45 minutes north of me at Retsil, Kitsap Co, WA. They both lived at the Old Soldiers Home in Retsil, a facility still in operation but no longer federal, it's run by the state. William must have had military service to live there, and Emma was allowed to due to his service...but I don't have that info yet...unless it's in the mounds of paperwork I received from Winnie and Judy. Are you by chance the researcher Judy hired?? I've been wondering that since reading the exchange of emails the past couple of days. I'm sending my smail privately. shirley :) Sylvia Hasenkopf wrote: > Shiley - boy do I have a contact for you - who probably has THE Layman > genealogy at this point.
