    1. Andrews, John at St. Luke's Church Catskill 1801-1802

    3. John Andrews was in Catskill in 1801 and 1802 and was one of the charter members of St. Luke's Church. The men who established that church did not seem to be immediate neighbors and I do not find evidence of his having a connection to those families . Was he related to the Andrews family in Windham? They seem to be well documented and I find no mention of John Andrews associated with them. There was a John Andrews in Greene County in 1810, but I think he was too young to be the man I am seeking or to have been one of the first vestrymen of a church in 1801. I am looking for a John Andrews who was born about 1760. Are there any surviving records from St. Luke's Protestant Episcopal Church of Catskill? Thank you, Katherine Seiders

    3. Yes, there are surviving records, but they start much later, I believe. The earliest records were lost in a fire at the parsonage. I'd have to check when the news ones start, I think it may be the latter half of the 1800's.
