    3. Hello, I just joined the list, and wanted to briefly introduce myself. I grew up in Athens, where my parents and some other relatives still live, and I am currently living in Ravena. Some of the surnames I am researching come from my mother's side of the family- Hallenbeck, Bush, Walter, and Godfrey. The Hallenbeck and Bush ancestors lived in the Athens and Coxsackie areas (at least the ones I know for sure) and the Walter ancestors lived in Dutchess County. If anyone is working with any of these families and wants to compare notes, drop me a line. I am also interested in tracing my father's side of the family, but unfortunately don't have nearly as much information. Some of the surnames from his side are Taylor, Vogel, Gwynne and Essenwein, many of which lived in the NYC area. 3. Hi How far back do you have on Hallenbeck? I have several lines -6 differebt ways - back to the original immigrant, but mostlyu pre 1800. My families came to Central NY about that time. check my websute, I am happy to share what I have. I have one Bosch marriage which could now be Bush, but it is also way early in 1700s. Half of my family are Greene Co based, and or Columbia Co, many both. I spent several summer vacations in the area and at the Vedder Library when it was open usually one day in my week available. I was a member of Greene Co Historical then 1965 - 1970. good luck JOHN C VAN BUSKIRK http://www.geocities.com/vanbus1/ jvanbus1@twcny.rr.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Taylor" <JeremyJTaylor@webtv.net> To: <NYGREENE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 5:51 PM Subject: [GREENE COUNTY] New to list > Hello, > I just joined the list, and wanted to briefly introduce myself.
