Sylvia Continuing the letter written by Margaret Carlow on Dec 19, 1995: When grandfather (Benjamin Scudder Maben) died, there was no longer any room in the Cross cemetery, so they buried him outside of it, near the children. I saw the grave myself. The family erected a large--5 feet high tombstone in the Maben family plot, in Lexington. I remember that we were asked to send money to help pay for it. So when I saw the tombstone with no body buried there, I was surprised. They said, "We did the best we could."
