Hi Sue, I am researching Tompkins and Christian. Drucilla Christian (b. 1813) m. William Tompkins (b. 1816) and they were the parents of my ggrandmother, Mary Elizabeth Tompkins Matthews (b. 1844). Mary Elizabeth and her husband, Lauren Alonzo Matthews, lived in Ashland, Greene Co. William Tompkins is buried in the West Settlement Cemetery, Ashland. In the 1855 Ashland Census, there is a Bebee/Bebec living with William, Drucilla and their family. Do you know anything about her? I have no other information on William or Drucilla except for the offspring, nor am I sure that I spelled the name correctly. It might be Druzilla or something else. Do you see any connection? My ggrandmother's formal portrait is staring down at me as I write this to you and I really need to find out more about her history, starting with her grandparents on both sides. Thanks for any help you may offer. Mignon "Your vision will only come clear when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.
