    3. Hi Susan--My mother and aunt attended Eastman Business college in Poughkeepsie [circa 1918 and 1920]; they took shorthand, typing, and office management, and recieved a certificate at the end of the course--2 yrs. I believe. This certificate qualified them to be secretaries and office managers---they both worked in NYC for several years after graduation. Do not believe there was a "degree" offered for this course. 3. Joan- thank you for this information. Of course, now I wonder what my ancestor did with her training if anything! Susan Do you happen to know if there are any records kept by or for the school?
