SURNAMES; WAN WIE, TRAVER, MANNING, HOUGHTALING, RICE, FREEMAN, WYNCOOP,CARPENTER, HUYCK, HOLMES My Grandfather, Clarence Ray Traver was born Oct. 1887 in Coxsackie, ny to Charles Henry Traver & Emeline Van Wie (can trace Van Wie back to Johannes A. Wan Vie & Alida Van Wie in 1700's) Would like info on Chole Holmes married to Hendrick Van Wie in 1801. Need info on Jane Huyck married to John V. N. Houghtaling, their daughter Rebecca Jane Houghtaling Married Cornelius Henry Van Wie in around 1850's. Need info to trace parents of Charles Henry Traver, I only know they are Reuben Traver probably born abt. 1820 and his wife Mary Jane Manning born abt. the same time. Am fairly certain of at least 3 children...Charles Henry born abt. 1853, Theodore born abt. 1851and Lorinda born ab.t 1856. Charles Henry died in 1899 of pneumonia, can't find burial spot, supposedly in Esopus...After his death I do find Mary Jane referring to herself as Jane and living at one time with Theodore Traver in Esopus and his wife Cathrine (spelling?)... These are just a few of my "bricks"....Also I probably have info to share with many of those new found cousins out there. Bernce catscan@Buckeye-Express.com Many thanks to all and this is truly a great list!!!
