Hello, I am a descendant of the Van Derzees of Greene Co. NY and I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to trace my ancestors back before Harry Van Derzee (circa 1840). Harry Van Derzee was married to Helena Rowe. They had a son named (Henry) Harry Van Derzee (b. Jan. 1877, d. Sept. 1955) who married Sarah Myrtle Rice (b. Aug. 1884, d. Apr. 1976). Harry and Sarah had one son, my grandfather, Harold Rice Van Derzee (b. Dec. 1917, d. Jan. 1968). I cannot find any links to this family or to Sarah M. Rice's family.
