Hello fellow Dutchmen: I just recently came across a couple of Web sites that may be of interest to the Green County bunch. The Danish Emigration Archives at: http://www.emiarch.dk/search.php3?l=en And The Association of European Migration Institutions. http://www.aemi.dk/adr.php My dad was very proud of his "Holland Dutch" heritage and spoke of it often including the fact that the old Mansion House Inn, where he was brought up in West Coxsackie was built from the ballast bricks that the Dutch ships brought over. I think he would be very upset to know that I have traced my "Smith" line back to John Smyth (1558-1612) from Jolly Old England (Stratford On Avon, Warwickshire, England). All kidding aside, he was right about so many of my ancestors that came from the "Holland Dutch" area.
