A researcher who has some access the records compiled by Kelly has indicated that in 1836 there was a marriage at this church of John Roberts and Magdalena Schemerhorn. Can anyone offer the specific record ?? I am very interested in this record - this appears to be my gr-gr-gr grandparents. Also, in Athens in the 1820 census there appears John Roberts with a son old enough to be the John Roberts father. I am now making a tentative link from father to son. There is a birth in Athens mentioned in the Trinity Episcopal Church of Magdalena Schermerhorn Apr 15 ,1812 - I think this is my "Margaret Magdalena Schermerhorn b. Athens, NY ca. 1812 as daughter of John Schermerhorn and Maria/Mary as stated on her death certificate. Any helps with b.m.d in Athens of the Roberts family and the Schermerhorns still present is of interest. It appears to me that Magdalena Schermerhorn lived or was present in Athens from 1812 to 1836 and probably till 1850 - she may have gone over to Hudson. The only other John Schermerhorn known to me in this time frame was abt 1800 when two children were born to him and Hetty Van Hosen - namely John and Maria. Jack Hanover,Pa
