    3. Excellent Sylvia - oy ! John and Hannah ??? That's a new one. Are the Schermerhorn girl marriages available ???? To answer your question - John Roberts and Margaret Magdalena Schermerhorn are in the 1855 thru 1870 NY state and federal census and in all cases John Robberts is born in French speaking Canada. He was probably a son of the many boatman plowing the waves of the Hudson with a Schermerhorn at the helm. Henry and Polly van Valkenburgh - could he have been John Henry Schermerhorn ? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sylvia Hasenkopf Sent: Monday, December 29, 2008 12:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Athens Zion Lutheran Church - Roberts/Schermerhorn John, here's what's in the Zion Lutheran Church records 1790 - `850 - males only: Jacob Schermerhorn and Catharina, parents, Maria, child, b. 2.24, bap. 3.8.1790, sponsors: Caspar V.
