Has any one ever come across records from a traveling or circuit minister named Rev. Orlif G. Hedstrom? Based on civil war pension records some ancestors of mine were married in Prattsville, NY in 1844 with the good Rev. Hedstrom officiating at a Chapman's Hotel. Unfortunately the info creates a brick wall on who the brides parents were. The brides name was Sophia Tompkins, reportedly (based on census records) born in Greene County, but so far no luck on which of several Tompkins families she came from. Hoping the Rev Hestrom left some records somewhere. If any one makes it to the State Library in Albany and has a spare hour, I would certainly appreciate a look to see if his records exist anywhere.
