Audrey, I don't know if this is the same family, but there was a Christian Wagner and Eliza G living in Woodstock in 1850 (154/163). Edward, 12, and Josaphene, 2 were living with them. They were two households from Peter W. and Margaret Short. In a message dated 11/30/2008 3:23:36 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: On Monday last, Angeline Short, a girl between 9 and 10 living with her mother and her step-father, Mr. Christian Waggoner, in this village, was burned by her clothes catching on fire. She died on Wednesday. (Saugerties Telegraph, May 12, 1849) This village being Saugerties. The family does not appear in the 1850 census of Saugerties, and are in Shandaken in 1855 having lived there for 1 year. Where were they in 1850??
