Food for thought: An article in today's Catskill Daily Mail features an article that says Greene County is looking for a new County Historian. The committee is headed by Legislator Dorothy Prest. I would think that there are qualified candidates right here from the #1 source of history and genealogy in Greene County. Sylvia, Pat Morrow, Mr Waldron , for example, know Greene County history probably better than the caretakers of the court house records, libraries, etc and I'm sure there are others who contribute to Rootsweb and reside in Greene who are just as qualified. Greene County leaders need to know about Rootsweb and the kind of work that goes into making this site as outstanding and accessible as it is. Their historian is right under there nose.
