I believe Johan Wilhelm Brandow's wife's last name of Reuter is based on the baptismal record of their grand-daughter, Elisabeth, d/o of Nicholas. She was born in 1727 and the sponsors were Hannes Brandau and Liesabeth Reuter. (West Camp Lutheran). Perhaps there is more basis for the name. This is a very much guessing, but I wonder if Anna Brandow, who married Laurens Van Buskirk could have been the Anna Brandow born in 1717. Are there any records for children born to her and Johannes Schermerhorn? None are listed in Henry Jones' work. Johan Wilhelm and Elisabetha had grand-daughters named Anna, but none are of the right age. John Brandow and Laurens Van Buskirk were named executors in the will of Michael Van Schaick (written 1758). I imagine John was Johan Wilhelm's son (b. 1712, md. a Van Schaick) and Anna's brother.
