Sylvia, There is a John N Decker, born 8 Jan 1814, died 16 Jan 1861, probably born and died in Orange County. Married Phebe L Kimber of Orange County, and they're both buried at Westtown according to "Descendants of William Lain and Keziah Mather with her lineage from Reverend Richard Mather" by Beatrice L Sheehan. The PDF is available at the FamilySearch Family History Collection http://www.lib.byu.edu/fhc/index.php . I didn't see any parents for this John either.
