Well, mystery solved, to some degree. The three Decker men from Lexington, (Cornelius b. 1779, Isaac b. 1781 and John, b. 1768 all in Columbia Co, NY) are sons of Gysbert (Gilbert) Decker and Catlyntje Spoor. Gysbert is the son of Lawrence Decker and Christina Vosburg. Lawrence is the son of Jan Decker and Tysje Bogart. Jan is the son of Jacob Jans Decker and Beletje Jans Bastiannansse. Jacob Jans is the son of Jan Broerse (Decker) the immigrant and Heyletje Jacobs. Jan Broerse was b. in 1630 in Holland and was first documented in the New World in Esopus (Kingston, Ulster Co, NY) in 1658. This from the Decker genealogy at the Vedder Library, but also supported by my research. Now, I am still trying to figure out the sons of each of these men. To date I have: Isaac - James Gilbert, b. 1811 Cornelius - Abner H. b. 1810 (found a Bible record on him and his direct descendants) Isaac C. b. 1804 John - Gilbert, b. 1802 Isaac, b. 1810 Any ideas? Sylvia
