Annatje Knott or Nancy Knott are the same person. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Coxsackie, "Nancy Bronk d. 19 Mar 1843 age 87y" as per Sylvia's transcript om her website. Perhaps, more interestingly, is where did she come from? This Coxsackie Reformed baptism shows two probable relatives, pg. 39, #819, 1784, 7.4. Jenie, of Ephraim Bronk and Annatje Bronk. Sponsors John Knots, Palli Knots. Were the sponsors her parents? She did name a daughter Maria, but not a son John. So, maybe, but not definitively. And were they new to the area, or are they from the Knoet (confusingly called Cloet in many records) family in the Albany/Schenectady area? B. Beers and in the "Ancestral History of William M. Bronk" by Ronald W, Collins both have different names for Ephraim's wife. Beers has his wife as Annatje Knot and Collins has it as Jane Knott. However, in the Estate papers of Ephraim Bronck his widow is listed as "Nancy". Does anyone know if Annatje and Jane were one and the same individual? Could Nancy be the same individual or did Ephriam marry a Nancy after he was married to Miss Knott? If so, what was her surname? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help me solve this puzzle.
