James Tompkins is buried in West Settlement Cemetery in Ashland. North Settlement Cemetery is in Windham. Olive Woodworth compiled a list of Greene County's Revolutionary War soldiers for one of the local DAR Chapters. It's at the NYS Library in Albany. There are four large volumes, compiled by Virgil White, entitled "Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files", also at the State Library. Two of my Revolutionary War ancestors, Weeks Rowley and David Foster, are buried in the Lexington Cemetery. Patricia Morrow >James Tompkins served as a fifer in the 7th Dutchess Co.
