Just my opinion, but it may be a bit short-sighted to only include the earliest Greene Co., in that these men would have to find a Regiment or other unit if they wanted to join. Then they may have ridden days to find it and enlist. e.g. there was a Waldron's Regt. located in NH, if I were enlisting, I just might ride over there to sign up instead of joining Platt's or Brinkerhoff's Regt. I think it may be best to examine the records in context of the times.
