    3. Sylvia, Sounds right, but then searches must include both Albany & Ulster Counties to be accurate. I have a list of some 11 Waldrons who served in NY units, but do not yet have their counties of residence. Probly if/when I dig into the actual records I can find out: Revolutionary War Service Records of Waldrons' NY Edward Hay's Regt. NY Edward Cooper's Regt. NY Peter Brinkerhoff's Regt. Moreso in the Albany Co districts of Coxsackie and the Imbought. However I am casting my net as wide as possible. 3. It is my understanding that many Rev. War veterans were given land here in Greene Co. after the war ended, and again after the War of 1812. The mountains and beyond were considered 'the frontier' and mostly Indian country at the time. Durham, I think was mostly populated by such Vets and their families. You have some interesting research ahead of you.... :) ~ Ron W ~ In God We Trust, All Others We Monitor ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sylvia Hasenkopf" <esi@francomm.com> To: <nygreene@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2010 3:16 PM Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Rev War and locality search
