    3. Hi Carol, Yes, I am !!!! Thank u so much for getting back to me about the Wagon Wheel. I have always been interested in that building, and Im glad you confirmed it once was the Hidecker House. I still drive by there and think of that house. Did your grandparents name it the Wagon Wheel and if so, do you have any idea why? I think there was a wishing well in the front, but it was so long a ago. It was terrific to hear from you , and Im glad to hear your Mom is doing well.. It was operated as Wagon Wheel Farm from about 1940 to it's sale in 1969. After the sale, my parent's, Al and Gertrude Anderson moved to Florida where my father passed away in 1974. My mother is still living near me in Georgia. My mother said it was owned by a man named Anderson. I know it later burned down. My question is, I have seen a postcard of the Hidecker House on the Windham Historical Facebook site, and I was wondering if the Wagon Wheel and the Hidecker House were the same house, because they really look the same. > Thank u > Lorna > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYGREENE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to NYGREENE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. My father and grandfather named it Wagon Wheel.  I think they had found a couple of old wagon wheels and thus the name was born.....the front entrance had a wagon wheel on each side.  There was no wishing well in front when my family was in residence.  Do youknow any Hidecker House history?  I was never told any details.  Just that the house was in shambles and my father and grandather renovated it about 1939.  Are you part of the Barlow family?   Not sure of how the message boards work.....are these e-mails going out to everyone registered on Greene County? --- On Sat, 2/5/11, lorna puleo <lorna.doone1@live.com> wrote: From: lorna puleo <lorna.doone1@live.com> Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Wagon Whee Boarding House To: nygreene@rootsweb.com Date: Saturday, February 5, 2011, 12:46 PM Hi Carol, Yes, I am !!!!
