I am trying to see if (how) there is a connect to the Elliotts of East Durham (James, Theodore, etc.- at Shady Glen) Beers mentions a connection but it's a little fuzzy. It's been a while since I worked on this line...so I'm even a little fuzzy at this point....one of the Elliotts (Nathan or Nathanial) was lost at sea, but again, will have to check my notes to remember where or what the circumstances were. There is also a Betsy Elliott (Eliot) in the Locust Grove cemetery and again, I have no information as to whom her husband was. Is the Nathan Elliott material you recently reviewed from Greene County or Albany County or are the two families the same?
