Sylvia, What a rude comment! I can't imagine anyone interested in history would write such an ignorant comment! I thought we were all in this together as we "write" the history of Greene county...with everyone generously contributing to the "story." I have witnessed a situation where I was told there was no data in the files for something I was trying to check. I, on the other hand knew that this data had been contributed to the Vedder a few years ago. I guess they have a poor system for locating files or they just didn't want to go through the work of digging it out. I did give up, unfortunately. Perhaps they need to review the Purpose of the library.
