Please, no group email, Sue! LOL! The group there thinks I bad mouth them all the time - which I really don't do, I think. I am frustrated with some of their policies and personnel, but the materials they hold are invaluable. Sylvia PS: Thanks for the support everyone. Wasn't really looking for validation of what I do, - was just flabbergasted by the statement made, that's all. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Sue Maxwell" <suemaxwell@comcast.net> Sent: Wednesday, June 22, 2011 7:41 PM To: <nygreene@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Interesting note > > Sylvia- > > I have never been on a site where there is someone as dedicated as you > are to making information available. It is the signs of the times. Family sense is disappearing and I think family historians can do something to improve that situation. I have read three articles about the dangerous decrease in populations all over the world and in this country, giving numerous reasons for the situation. It really concerns me. You really notice it when you do research and see how large families were in the past and see how small they are now, in comparison, so that we now do not produce enough children to sustain our society. It is a problem all over the world and may be irreversible in some countries. So why would a man like that be so disagreeable- he doesn't understand the value of family history, and how it reconstructs history and gives people a broader sense of who they are.
