Sylvia there is a website that had a county by county listing of Rev War Vet Graves that a man by the name of Daryl VerSTreate Jr. has contributed and designed. There are more from the upstate area listed but I think every county is listed. OK - I just looked at it - there are non listed for Greene but you and the list might enjoy checking the website out here is the address http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyrcessar/RochesterChapterSAR.htm Daryl is a memeber of the Rochester Chapter of the SAR.

Do you have WELLS or STRAIGHTs in your database? ******
I recently offered a CD of the Civil War Vets of Barron County on eBay. Several sold but I was shocked at the lack of interest from the people on THIS list who had said they wanted a copy. Can someone tell me why those on this list did not Purchase a copy? Just interested to find out why 592 printed page of info is NOT of interest to Descendants of men who served in the Civil War and lived in Barron County. ****** > From: esi@francomm.com > To: nygreene@rootsweb.com > Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2010 13:24:41 -0500 > Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Rev War and locality search > > As it was in the Revolution! > > Sylvia > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Barbara de Mare" <barbarademare@yahoo.com> > To: <nygreene@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2010 1:22 PM > Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Rev War and locality search > > > > > > That leads to my question: Sylvia, do you want Greene County as it is > > today or > > as it was in the Revolution? > > > > Barbara L. de Mare, Esq. > > Attorney, historian, genealogist, grandmother > > 155 Polifly Road > > Hackensack, New Jersey 07601 > > > > (201) 567-9440 office > > http://historygenealogyesq.blogspot.com/ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: ~ Ron W. ~ <ronwaldron@verizon.net> > > To: nygreene@rootsweb.com > > Sent: Wed, December 29, 2010 1:12:59 PM > > Subject: Re: [NYGREENE] Rev War and locality search > > > > And, when searching Counties before 1800 parts of Greene were found in > > both > > Albany and Ulster Counties. Please include my Patriot Asahel Jones, who was born in 1752 in New Jersey, but moved to Durham in 1788 from Dutchess County with a company of "North East Baptists" Milan A. Paddock (314) 541-4913
