Ray, In case you ever decide to actually visit that cemetery, please note that it is covered in poison ivy. I took photos there a couple of years ago and had to watch my step very carefully. -Rich Richard D. Howard 587 New Virginia Rd. To be fair, the material on the Hope Farm website was prepared by Annette Campbell, but provided by me to her for transcription was back in 1998. It was because I wanted to do so much more with the Greene County material then the Hope Farm Site could accommodate, that I started the Greene County website, Tracing your Roots in Greene County, NY. This site was established in 1999 and we keep growing! It all started with just me and Annette. Bless you Annette!! Hi Sylvia, Several years ago a relative put together a great deal of information concerning the Planks of Leeds, New York. Included in this collection is an application for membership in the DAR in the name of Clara Belle Plank-Putnam, descendant of Michael Plank, Private in Albany Co., NY. This application was approved on October 23, 1934, National Number 286907 (record copy). 'Ancestor's Service: 'New York Men in Rev. War' page 114 'Michael Plank (enlisted private Men in Revolutionary War) Albany Co. Militia, 8th Regt, Col. Robert van Rensselaer.' I am wondering if you might like to include Michael in the Revolutionary War project. Also, I could send a copy of this application if you might like to have it. Unfortunately, I do not have any further information. Regards, Beth
This is a courtesy message addressed to the Internet Explorer users in particular. There was a code glitch causing the lists not to display properly, showing a long string instead. This has been fixed and now showing the lists properly (taking me 5 days to fix every page.) I regret that no one bother to tell me about this problem for over a month. Mapes On pg 48 there is mention of a woman, who married a Doctor Spooner and is the daughter of John F. Darrow from Catskill. I need to know the name of this woman. Ideally I'd love to have a copy of this small book too and get it transcribed for the website.
