Hi Sylvia! Thanks for the information. This gives me just a little more piece of the puzzle. I had found Thomas and Jane in the 1850 U.S. Census. In the 1830 U.S. Census for Hunter Twsp. there is a Thomas Obrien as head of household with a male, aged 15-20 listed, as well as a male between50 and 60. My next step is to find information on the elder Thomas O'Brien as I believe they are senior and junior. Hi Jane! I had not had very much time to check on the particulars of Jane Wolven/Wolfin. I only had the information gotten from the 1850 census and information from a cousin. I have not been able to determine where the O'bryans came from before they were in Jewett/Hunter so I cannot determine where they came from before Greene County was formed. Yes, I did get those records from you and they are posted to the website (thanks so much!!!) As these records were done over 40 years ago, I am trying to find all these old cemeteries, take a photo of them and retranscribe them. In this case I couldn't find the hand written stone that was there 40 years ago. And it took some time to find the broken stone for another buried under the vegetation. Hi Jane - now this is interesting. My husband drove me last Friday to that exact spot - the intersection of Wolven Rd and Bogart Rd and we transcribed the old cemetery there. Hi List, Still searching in Greene Co. for: Joshua and Mary Knapp Cross !750's early 1800's Benjamin and Margaret VanDorn Cross, living in Lexington in 1855, Margaret alone in Delaware Co., by 1860. Where is Benjamin buried? Who were Margaret's parents and where is she buried? Margaret was still on the 1870 census. Jacob and Emeline Ingram/Ingraham Cross, looking for Emeline's parents, birth and death dates. They went from Greene Co. to Sullivan Co. and Jacob alone in Knox Co., NE in 1885. Thanks for any help. Maureen, None of these Wolvens fit into my family that I know of. However, I have found more Wolvens in Greene County than I knew existed. My Father came from Ulster County going back to the Palatines so most likely there is a connection. Have you checked Census records ? Searching for info on: William Nelson Carter, b. 1811 Mary McFarland, b. 1813 both in Greene Co. They married 1832 and appeared on the 1850 Census, with family, before moving to Wisconsin. Scott

Hi Maureen, I just picked up the roll call and found some matches and some "close" matches in your message. I decend from Angeline Lord O'Brian's brother, Asa Lord. He was my gg grandfather. I have: Thomas O'Brian, Jr. b. 1811, d 1881 (close) Angeline Lord O'Brian, b. 9/7/1841, d. 1903 I did not know there was a first wife and have no information on her. Looking at the birth dates, I should have guessed. If you have information on her, I would be grateful to recieve it. I have the chlidren that I know of all listed under Angeline & Thomas as: Asa, b. 1867 Rufus Elbert, b. 1868 Is this your great grandfather? Elizabeth (Libby), b. 1880 Clarence, b. 1875 and William b. 1877 I also have a Martha J., b. 1871, d. 1875 Further, I have: Rufus Elbert m. Mary Madden Asa m. Mamie ? Clarence m. I am researching the VER PLANCK family of Oak Hill. My 4th great grandmother was Anna Ver Planck, b.1764 in Oak Hill and d. 1814 near Rensselaerville, the wife of Georg Benn of Bavaria. Anna was the daughter of Johannes Ver Planck, 1736-1811, and Catharina Schuh. Both families were Palatines.

Greene Co, 7 years in Jewett, child Mary E, aged 6. That's it.
