I am interested in the COONS Bible that Pat has told us is on Ebay now. I am researching the PLANK (Ver Planck) family of Oak Hill. My gggg grandmother, Anna ver Planck, had a sister, Catharine. Anna was b. 1764 in Oak Hill. I have not identified a marriage for her yet, so am wondering if this is a possibility. Can anyone tell me how Oak Hill and the Oak Creek Dutch Reformed Church are geographically related? Kathy Gire Granite Bay, CA

I made an error in names when I recently called for data search on Lulu J. (Hare) Rappleyea. Lulu's mother was Louisa J. HUGGINS, not Thompson. Louisa married Worthington Hare. Louisa latter married a Matt Thompson. Worthington's second marriage was to a Frances (unknown - searching). Any information is appreciated.. B.C. Stevens

Jackie, I don't have any information on Polly's ancestors, so I don't know if they used Ephraim as a family name; in fact, the only one I have parents for is Mary Towner and her father's name was Elijah. I have not found Ephraim in other Lord generations either. Further, I don't know any of Mary's siblings and that is an interesting theory. Would you share your information with me? Thanks! Thanks B.C., I will write to him. I see this name spelled many different ways in the local history books I have checked. It is just like my Dickinson, Dickenson, Dickersons. Carol L. Heap
There is a number of spelling of Rapelye. My connection is with the Greene County Rappleyea family name. I did have a contact with a James Rapalje (Dutch selling of the name I think). His number the last I knew was 802-862-9134 - 51 Lopes Ave, Burlington, VT 05401. Perhaps that direction of search would be helpful. I'm afraid I'm not much help with the name as it's spelled. Bernice: Could you please conact me off list? Thanks, Clyde Rice
Came through there, fast, today. Very pretty country! Just time to snap a few pics, Catskill Point, etc. and move on to the reunion. Will be back early next week for a little better look-see. Did find a bunch of later Schermerhorns in the cemetery book at Limestone, NY. along with my Rices. Also, Schoonmakers, seems like some of these all moved west together, or along the same routes at least. Question, any Kelloggs, Brunsons, Lovells or Wixons, known to be from Greene County? These also traveled west with my Rices, through some or all of Chenango, (Binghamton now), Broome Co. NY. Farmington, Tioga County, PA. (town now entirely gone), Addison, Steuben Co. NY. or Carrollton, (almost gone as well), Cattaraugus Co. NY. (My minor Irish percentage even felt good coming through East Durham today!) Clyde Rice

Hi Sylvia--I corresponded with John Boughton from Plant City Florida in 1995; his wife was Jean Juanita Layman. . Gussie Haines, dau of Jeremiah Haines and Anna Brink, married Frederick F. Burton in 1875, their dau. Dorothy Burton, b.1902 marr. Arthur Layman, their dau was Jean Juanita Layman Boughton. They had very little info on her father, Arthur Earl Layman, other than he was from the Mt. top, divorced his first wife, Dorothy Burton, and married several times; I don't think they ever traced the Laymans--not much help I am afrain.
