    1. [NYGREENE] Annie Rebecca Greene b.1852
    2. I am looking for information on Annie Rebecca Greene b.1852, dau. of Sylvester Greene and Charlotte Howard. I have found information that she was married to an "unknown Veeder", and mother of Howard V. Veeder 1871-1963 according to the 1880 census. Howard was married to Dora (Doris) Benjamin 1888-1981.? Anna Howard, Charlotte's sister, was also married to an "unknown" Veeder, and had a son Horace. I'm not sure if these "unknowns" were the same person or not. Both Howard girls were daughters of Sanford Howard and Elizabeth Brewer.

    3. Does anyone know of any relatives of Benjamin Jones [1809-1899] and his wife Catherine Peck [1818-1889] of Hunter, Lexington and Jewett Centre. Also any of their children, especially Milo Alfred Jones [Civil War veteran, 1843-1902] and Sarah A Jones. [1847-1922], who married Brainard O. Peck [1848-1928]. When I was a young lad, there was a bright yellow house in Jewett Centre, up the hill and across from the old Baldwin place. It was an antique shop for awhile and I believe the owners may have been related. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Seward R. Osborne

    1. Re: [NYGREENE] John Decker and Sarah Soule
    2. Hi, Thanks for posting the genealogy. I don't have a direct connection with this family but have looked for Kipp connections. I just want to point out a problem with the information concerning Corydon Kipp and his wife. In the posted genealogy Corydon Kipp is credited with marrying Lucinda Schermerhorn and I just don't think Lucinda was a Schermerhorn. Lucinda's stone in the Lexington Cemetery says Lucinda Decker. Also, I believe a Schermerhorn genealogy says Louise Decker and Lucas Schermerhorn were married in 1826, well after Lucinda's birth. I have suspected Cornelius and Elizabeth were Lucinda Kipp's parents but there are problems with ages in the 1850 and 1855 censuses. A Lucinda Decker was living with Cornelius and Elizabeth in Lexington in 1850, but I don't believe her age is right for an 1818 birth year. The 1855 census has Lucinda with her brother Isaac and that age doesn't agree either. Was Isaac a son of Cornelius? Is that in the Decker book? There's a good chance Abner, Isaac and Lucinda are siblings. Was there a brother named Thomas, too? In my search for Corydon Kipp I found the following information on the Decker family. Hope it helps someone. It provides some evidence of the relationship of Lucinda Kipp and the children of Isaac. All in Jersey City, Hudson Co., NJ. In 1880, after CORYDON's death, LUCINDA lived with Martin DECKER, 43, and was described as an aunt. (Martin may actually have been MORGAN, see 1870.) In 1870, LUCINDA and CORYDON were with MORGAN DECKER, 36. (Married to a Caroline as Martin was in 1880, and with sons named Morgan both years.) In 1860, there are even more problems with names and ages, but I think I have the right people. LUCINDA Dickie, 41, was in the household of THOS. B. Dickie (as transcribed on Ancestry.com), 44, no wife, but several children. There was also a Eugene (?) Dickie, 28 and another Dickie whose name started with M (male), 26 and lastly Chas KIPP, 43. Eugene was probably Eugenia and the unreadable M was probably Morgan. ISAAC DECKER had children of these names in his home in 1850. In 1855 Morgan wasn't there but Isaac's sister Lucinda was. (In 1870 Thomas Decker, 50, with same children as in 1860, was living in Hoboken giving credibility to the Decker name, not Dickie.) In a message dated 1/7/2009 8:33:21 A.M.
