Thank you Ron! As ususal, it is great. I appreciate your thoughtfulness throughout the year. I am helping a little on a Waldron SAR application, so was thinking about you. We had a problem with a death date, but it was found in the Waldron Cemetery. Forget the name. Barbara L. de Mare, Esq. I thought I had heard the Courthouse was undergoing some renovation. Is the Courthouse open now or are these files held elsewhere? I'm looking for records of the more recent era 1930 to 1965 ish. I reorganized the site a little, in order to keep the cemetery photos together- they are now on a new page of the site, directly accessible from http://jeremyjtaylor.shutterfly.com/cemeteryphotos Jeremy Ravena > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jeremy Taylor" > <[email protected]> > To: "Greene County List" > <[email protected]> > Sent: Saturday, March 14, 2009 12:15:33 AM GMT -05:00 > US/Canada Eastern > Subject: [NYGREENE] Limestreet and Hallenbeck cemeteries > > > Hi all, > Was itching to get outdoors today with the sunny > weather we were having, so I took a drive to the Limestreet > Cemetery in West Athens and also stopped by the nearby > Hallenbeck cemetery on CR 49 on my way back out to 9-W. If anyone should have occasion to visit the Acra cemetery, I would like pictures of the stones of Herrick Aldrich, Elizabeth Hoadley, their son Dennison Aldridge and his wife, Adaline Lennon. I got pictures of them several years ago and lost them. The four are grouped together in a row. I think I heard that Adaline's stone was damaged by the vandalism a few years ago. Herrick is my gg-grandfather and I am trying to find any clues about his parentage. His son Andrew is my g-grandfather. Vernon Aldrich So. Charleston, West Virginia -- Vernon C. Anybody have Godfrey's will by chance? Sylvia
Carol, from the probate file of their granddaughterm Clara Schell Post, who was born August 9, 1883 in New York and died July 12, 1973 in Catskill: Her parents were: Edgar N. Post, b. November 30, 1853 and Clara Schell. She had one brother, Edgar Newell Post, who died June 12, 1963 in Catskill, aged 77y. Both are buried in the New Jefferson cemetery. Edgar's parent's were John H. Post and Amelia Emerich, who were married in Catskill Dec. 23, 1852. Two other children of this union: Mary Adelaide, b. July 25, 1855 and Elliot E., b. April 13, 1858. John's second wife was Margaret Longendyke. They were married January 17, 1861. No known children from this marriage. However, I did find int he 1870 census that the couple had at least one child, Peter L., born abt 1862.
