    3. Hi Kevin, I have a Thompson link, but the information I have is very vague. What is known (or surmised) is that my ancestor, Russell WARREN, married c. 1826/1827 Emily THOMPSON in what was then Genesee County (now Wyoming) possibly in the Orangeville area, as Russell's older brother, William Warren, had settled there earlier. They were sons of Caleb and Rachel (WEBSTER) WARREN of Hampton, Washington County, New York. There was another William Warren, son of Jabish/Jabez Warren who came very early, but he later moved to Aurora in Erie County. They were cousins. (Also, Rachel Webster Warren was a cousin of Elizur Webster who founded Warsaw...AND Caleb's half-sister became Elizur's wife!). Ah, the interwoven tapestries! According to Beer's History of Wyoming County, both Russell Warren and Emily Thompson were from Washington County; Russell came in 1826 and Emily came in 1824. Emily most likely came with her parents, who MAY have been Nathan and Phebe Thompson. After their marriage, Emily and Russell Warren lived in East Orangeville and raised a large family there. Emily Thompson Warren died 21 Mar 1877 and is buried at Orangeville Center Cemetery; stone is now broken. Russell's name was also on the stone, but discovered he migrated to Minnesota to be near two grown children after Emily's death and he died and was buried there. Supposedly, Nathan and Phebe Thompson had 8 children: Cyrus, Abigail, Sylvia, Caroline---born 5 May 1811 Poultney, VT and died 21 May 1872 at possibly Ronald, Michigan, married DANIEL HEATH in 1831, possibly in Washington Co., NY????; William, Edwin, Polly, and Emily. Anyone else searching these names? I'd appreciate any help!
