Does anyone have access to records of Warsaw, NY? I'm trying to trace a Prentiss or Prentice HOLMES who was there 1820 and 1830. Census indicates 8 children b. ca 1798 (in Vt.) to ca 1816, but I don't have names of any, and I don't know who his wife was. He was 70-80 in 1830 so probably died there. I suspect children went on to Michigan, Ohio, or other points west, but don't know anything for sure. His mother was a Hamlin, and I note there were early Hamlins in Warsaw, in case anyone knows anything about that family. Any guidance or help appreciated! Jane
