Rogers' Company, 19th NY Light Artillery. Del saw some pretty hair-raising action at Cold Harbor in 1864. He was one of only a few who were still standing after a Reb attack on their position--he kept the cannons firing! Somewhere I have Prentice or Prentiss Thompson down for his father. I did not have his mother. I'll investigate. On the family's origins prior to the REvolution: Washington County, NY and before that, Palmer, Mass. More to check!
