Hello Cheryl, Is the Republican Advocate a newspaper from the Batavia area in Genesee County? If so, do they list marriages? My great-great grandfather and great-great grandmother, Sylvester Lober (possibly Lauber) and Sophia C. Lawrence were married in the early 1860's.
