I am trying to locate the death certificates of our 3rd grt-grandparents, Robert and Nancy McDonald. They are buried in the Darien Cemetery, but their death records are not in Darien Center. I suspect they died in Batavia and was sent addresses to write to...however, I don't know which one is appropriate. The Town of Batavia or the City of Batavia? The deaths were in 1883 and 1887 respectfully. Can someone help me what with the differences in these two and which one to write to?
