History Keepers! We may have a new opportunity here in Bethany! The Town Board is offering the Town Hall to the Historian for a museum/History Center! The Board has voted to purchase the fire hall and renovate it for their new town offices, vacating the historic Town Hall-- presently, there is a referendum up for voting on election day- for voters to say if they are in agreeement or not- So---be sure to get out and vote if you live in this district to have your opinion heard! Tell your neighbors and friends, too~! We will be discussing this topic at our October History Keepers Meeting this month---so please plan to attend, and bring a friend or neighbor, too. We want your input on how to make the Town Hall a successful, functioning History Center if the town goes ahead with their moving plans. Our next meeting is happening soon! Saturday, October 18th ~ at the Rolling Hills Mall (Carriage Village) in Bethany at 4:00~ Also---- If you are interested in the former County Home of Bethany, there will be a talk and book-signing at the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00~in regard to the recently published book, "Bethany, 1800-1900: The Poor House and the People."
